THE HUSKY TERMINAL AND WASHINGTON UNITED TERMINAL TACOMA MARINE TERMINAL CONFERENCE ESTABLISHES THE TACOMA MARINE TERMINAL CONFERENCE SCHEDULE.
Husky Terminal and Washington United Terminal (collectively, “Conference Members”) today announce that the Tacoma Marine Terminal Conference Agreement has established a joint Tacoma Marine Terminal Conference Schedule (the “Conference Schedule”). The Schedule will go into effect on September 26, 2018.
The Conference Schedule sets forth rates and terms to which users of the Conference Members’ terminals, wharves, other facilities, or property must comply with in the absence of an executed agreement between the user and the Conference Member. The Conference Schedule contains terms and conditions that are applicable to all users as an implied contract. To the extent that the Conference Schedule does not address a certain term or condition, users should refer to the Northwest Seaport Alliance, Tariff No. 300.
The Conference Schedule will facilitate the implementation of various improvements and development This authority will help standardize services between the facilities.
Husky Terminals continues investing in upgrades to its facility in anticipation of accommodating 18,000 teu container vessels. The improvements include the addition of a second wharf resulting in a contiguous berth length of 2,965 feet, eight new Super-Post-Panamax cranes, upgraded container yard, and a new state of the art gate complex, all of which is adjacent to a high capacity intermodal facility with direct connections to the major rail lines. Washington United Terminal continues with its investment strategy as it replaces its current operating system with an advanced management platform and evaluates land and equipment opportunities in preparation for increased customer satisfaction and additional cargo capabilities.
